Since beginning the season as the number one singles player on Liz Shweky’s team, newcomer Arroyave has been setting the tone for the Beavers. The freshman is 2-0 in singles play and is 1-1 in doubles play. Arroyave defeated Purchase College’s Brenden Keeling last week, 6-1, 6-1 in singles No. 1 and went on to defeat Yeshiva University’s David Habif, 6-1, 6-0 in singles No. 1 on Friday afternoon. He teamed up with Do Hyun Kim to defeat Habif and Eitan Gettenberg, 8-5, in doubles play No. 1.
