Matthew Mbamelu scored two goals with an assist as the City College of New York men's soccer team opened their 2014 season with a tough 5-4 loss at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. It did not take long for Mbamelu to get City on the board. The senior forward took a penalty kick just 41 seconds into the game and giving the Beavers the early lead. Down one in the 76th minute and down a man, Mbamelu took a thru ball from the midfield and tied the game up at four.
