The City College of Ney York Athletics

Junior Steve Baker set a new school record of 15.84 meters in the weight throw as the City College of New York competed at the 2015 Terrapin Invitational hosted by the University of Maryland on Saturday. In a field dominated by Division I and II athletes, Baker finished second in the weight throw event. He improved on his previous season best of 14.19 meters, and qualified for the CTC, CUNYAC and ECAC Championships. Baker's distance currently ranks first in the conference, more than two meters ahead of his closest competition.
