The City College of Ney York Athletics

Freshman Taryn VanEsselstyn helped the Beavers pick up two non-conference victories this week as she earned CUNYAC Rookie of the Week honors. Against St. Joseph's College (CT), she recorded nine points and eight rebounds, shooting 4-of-7 from the floor. In CCNY's loss against York she shot 6-of-10 from the floor, recording 13 points and seven rebounds. VanEsselstyn saved her best performance of the week for Friday's 87-21 victory over the College of New Rochelle. On the way to her sixth double-double of the season, she scored a career high 21 points along with 12 rebounds.
