Sophomore Jeckesan Mejia repeated as Most Valuable Performer of the CUNYAC Championships, scoring 40 points on the day. Mejia won the men's shot put with a distance of 12.61 meters, then took gold in the men's javelin with a throw of 42.55 meters. He scored a silver medal in the men's discus with a throw of 33.66 meters. Mejia also took the bronze medal in the men's hammer throw, throwing for a distance of 28.11 meters, and was also fifth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.55. At the end of the day, Mejia would celebrate with the team as they claimed their fifth straight title.
