New York, NY – CCNY men's volleyball freshman Carlos Maldonado Madrid has been named the CUNYAC/USS Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week by the league office, it was announced earlier today.

In the teams match against Yeshiva University last Friday, Madrid notched a career-high and match-high 19 kills (.531 hitting percentage) to go along with a game-high seven aces and seven digs.

City College (7-10) will play at Brooklyn College in its next match on Thursday, March 23 at 6 p.m.
