Ruth Reyes was crucial in helping lead the Beavers to a 2-1 record last week. On September 8th in a  3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-20) victory over non-conference  opponent USMMA King's Point, the John F. Kennedy High School product tallied a match-high 11 kills to go along with five digs and three service aces. Three days later, she guided CCNY to a 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 2-8) win over CUNYAC foe John Jay as she recorded a team-high eight kills to go along with nine digs and five service aces. She also put forth a valiant effort as the Beavers fell to Hunter College in four sets (25-19, 22-25, 18-25, 15-25). In that loss, the Bronx, NY native recorded 13 kills, 10 digs, and three block assists.
