Kenny Rubenstein of the men's basketball team was named CCNY's Male Athlete of the Week for the period of Monday, November 22nd-Sunday, November 28th. The Beavers dropped their two games last week, falling to Rutgers-Newark University by a score of 95-63 before falling to St. Joseph's College of Long Island by a score of 102-94.
In CCNY's defeat at the hands of the Scarlet Raiders, Rubenstein connected on five of his 13 attempts from the floor and dropped in 12 points in just 21 minutes of action. In the Beavers' loss to the Golden Eagles this past Saturday, the Maplewood, NJ native poured in a team-high 22 points on six-of-14 shooting (he also hit on seven of his eight attempts from the line) while tallying five steals and grabbing four rebounds.
Rubenstein's 15.8 points-per-game through the season's first four contests is a team-best.
