Women's Indoor Track and Field's Leah Dawkins was named the City College of New York's Female Athlete of the Week for the period of Monday, November 29th through Sunday, December 5th. 

Dawkins received the praise after her phenomenal efforts this past Sunday at the CTC Relay Carnival. She set a freshman pole vault record of 2.60 meters (8’6”) as she qualified for CTC championships in that event, placing fifth out of seven competitors. The standout also set another freshman record in the women’s 55-meter dash where she finished in 10th place (out of 27 dashers) with a time of 7.96.
