CCNY men's basketball's Matas Rascius was named Male Athlete of the Week for the period of Monday, December 27th through Sunday, January 3rd.
The Beavers played four games last week, but were unable to come up with a victory. CCNY suffered a tough 68-60 overtime loss to Clarkson University this past Wednesday, and the next day the Beavers fell to William Paterson University by a score of 66-56. Over the weekend, participating in the Residence Inn Greenbelt Classic, City College dropped two games - a 60-42 decision to Catholic University, and an 87-59 loss to Rivier College.
Despite the 0-4 output, Rascius - CCNY's big man - put together a nice week, averaging 9.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game over the four-game span. He also swatted nine shots in those contests as well.
