Men's Volleyball standout Matthew Ng was named one of the two City College of New York's Male Athletes of the Week for the period of Monday, February 21st through Sunday, February 27th.
CCNY's men's volleyball team posted a 2-0 mark this past week, turning back the Fightning Blue Jays of NYU-Polytechnic by scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-19, and 25-17 before dominating the Cougars of Medgar Evers in conference action by scores of 25-10, 25-15, and 25-15. Both victories came on the road for City College.
In the match against NYU-Polytechnic, Ng tallied a match-high 19 kills to go along with eight digs while hitting .333 on the evening. He followed that up with another impressive outing against the Cougars as he totalled 12 kills, three service aces, and two digs while hitting .429 on the night.
