City College of New York baseball standout Andrew Romanella was named one of the two CCNY Male Athletes of the Week for his terrific performances in the Beavers' doubleheader against Wesley College this past Sunday afternoon.
This past Sunday, CCNY played a non-conference doubleheader against the Wolverines of Wesley College but dropped both games, falling by scores of 10-9 and 7-3. In the game one defeat, the Beaver veteran finished 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, a run scored, two runs batted in, and a walk.
In the game two loss, Romanella picked up just one single, but he scored a run and drove in two. He leads the team thus far through five games in batting average (.389) and hits (7).
