The City College of Ney York Athletics

The City College of New York announced its Female Athlete of the Week for the period of Monday, February 28th and Sunday, March 6th, and the winner was Leah Dawkins.

Dawkins - a Brooklyn Technical High School graduate and New York, NY native, was instrumental in helping pace the Beavers to their first CUNYAC indoor track and field championship since 2007. At the meet, she scored in seven events, claiming first place in the 55-meter hurdles with a jump of 9.79 and in the triple jump with a leap of 10.81 meters. She also recorded silver-medal performances in both the long jump (4.95 meters) and high jump (1.41 meters) competitions.
