Men's Outdoor Track and Field standout Paul Dedewo was named one of the two CCNY Athletes of the Week for the period of Monday, April 4th through Sunday, April 10th. The Dewitt Clinton High School product received the praise for his plethora of accomplishments at the FDU-Florham Classic this past Saturday.

Dedewo competed in six events on the day, grabbing top-three finishes in three of those events.  In the men’s 400 Meter Dash, he recorded a time of 49.13, which was a season-best and ECAC-qualifying time. He also placed second in the men’s 200 Meter Dash with a time of 22.01, which was also a personal-best time as well as a mark that qualified him for ECAC’s. His 57.47 time in the men’s 400 Meter Hurdle competition placed him third in that event – a season best time for the sophomore.

In addition, Dedewo finished in sixth place in the men’s 100 Meter Dash with a time of 11.29, 12^th place in the men’s 110 Meter Hurdles (16.74), and he also helped CCNY’s relay team – which consisted of Najua Ward, Bertrand Oubida, and Bakary Touray – solidify a seventh place finish (3:33.25).
