The City College of New York women's basketball team fell 50-43 to Bard College on Wednesday evening at Bard. This was the Beavers first road game of the season early season.

Bard took the lead to start the first quarter. It wasn't long before City (2-2) was able to take control and the lead. City had their largest lead of the game with 4:17 left in the first quarter. Bard would not give up easily though and continued to fight on their home court. Bard led 15-10 after the first quarter.

To continue their dominance in the second quarter, Bard quickly put up some points. Bard took their largest lead of 11 in the second quarter. However, City matched Bard with 12 points in the second half. CCNY trailed 27-22 going into halftime.

The Beavers came out of the locker room looking for a way to take control. Only being down five points, they worked together to get easy buckets. City was able to outscore Bard in the third quarter, but they still trailed 39-36 going into the fourth and final quarter.

It was difficult for the Beavers to take control in the final quarter as Bard looked to seal their victory. City was outscored 11-7 in the final quarter and fell 50-43.

Tiara Brown notched her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Erika Richards tallied nine points for the Beavers. City shot .271 from the field and held Bard to a .266 field goal percentage.

CCNY will continue their road trip as they travel to Jamaica, New York to face conference opponent York on Friday, December 4. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
