The City College of New York women's soccer team played against conference opponent John Jay to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday evening at Randall's Island.
City (0-4-1, 0-0-1 CUNYAC) came into the match continuing their search for a victory. The team came out strong, putting up four shots against John Jay (0-4-1, 0-0-1 CUNYAC) in the first half, with three going on goal.
Emily Ramos put up two shots, while
Taylor Jo Gillen and
Elif Demircan both added one shot.
The second half continued to be a battle between the conference foes. Gillen added another shot for the Beavers. With both teams fighting for the lead we entered overtime with the score 0-0.
Ramos took the only shot for the Beavers in overtime. With the teams both looking for a win, the match up was enough to lead to a 0-0 tie.
Marissa Olsen put up 11 saves to keep the Bloodhounds scoreless.
The squad will face FDU-Florham on Saturday September 19 at 4 p.m. at Randall's Island.
