The City College of New York women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Baypath Monday evening at Randall's Island.
The first half was full of continuous back-and-forth action. The Beavers (0-6-1, 0-0-1 CUNYAC) had four shots, with
Marissa Olsen and
Giselle Sanchez each putting one on goal. The Wildcats (3-3-0) was able to get more shots off, but
Zoe-Elena Rosenbloom put up six saves, along with the team getting one save in the first half.
The second half continued with the same action as the first half. Olsen put another shot on goal, but Baypath's goalie, Alma Rizvani, put up another save to continue the 0-0 draw. Baypath struck first when they scored off a free kick at the 75
th minute. The Wildcats put up two more to take the match 3-0 from the Beavers.
The team will face Brooklyn College for another conference matchup on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
