Bronx, NY. – The City College of New York's women's soccer team edged out Lehman College 1-0 in a non-conference game Monday night. The win extends the teams winning streak to five games. The team now stands at 8-6-0 overall.
The game's only goal came in the 62nd minute, when senior Marissa Olsen scored off a header from a corner kick from freshmen Tatiana Zuluaga. The goal was Olsen's 17th of the season.
Goalie Catherine Langkamp made her fourteenth start in the goal for the Beavers. Lampkamp posted her eighth shutout of the season and made nine saves.
The Lighting outshot the Beavers thirteen to eleven, and landed nine on goal compared to CCNY's eighth.
Up next, the Beavers will jump back into action on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 4:00 p.m.as they take on College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY.
