Brooklyn, NY - The City College women's soccer team fell to Brooklyn College 2-1 Wednesday evening in the semifinals of the 2016 CUNYAC Championship.
The Bulldogs outshot the Beavers 14-12 in the contest, but only six of CCNY's attempts were on net. The teams were even in corner kicks with three a piece. Freshmen Tatiana Zuluaga led the Beavers with four shots, including one on net.
Brooklyn opened the scoring in the 17th minute on a goal by Victoria Ramirez. The Bulldogs then extended the lead to two on a maker from Ramirez for her second goal in the 40th minute. Late in the second half, Brooklyn added its third goal of the game on Sayla Flores's netted shot from 20 yard out.
CCNY goalkeeper Catherine Langkamp made five saves in net, while Brooklyn's netminder Samantha Rodriguez had six stops.
The Beavers conclude their season with a 9-8 overall record, and 3-3 mark in league play.
