Men's Volleyball Falls To CMSV In Three Sets

Riverdale, NY - The City College of New York's men's volleyball team fell in straight sets to the College of Mount Saint Vincent Tuesday evening, 3-0.  After losing the first set 25-19, the Beavers dropped the second and third with set scores of 25-14 and 25-15 to hand the Beavers their second lost of the season.

Set one was the most competitive of the three. A kill from David Cham would put CCNY up 17-to-15 late in the set. But CMSV would go on a 10-2 run close out the set. The Dolphins took a early 11-to-3 led in the second set and won the set 25-14. In the third set, the Beavers would lead CMSV 8-to-7, before the Dolphins would out score CCNY 18-7 to win the set.

Junior David Cham led CCNY with a team-high seven kills and three digs. Sophomore Sebastjano Aga ended up with six assists and nine digs.  Freshman Carlos Maldonado Madrid had five kills and an ace. Senior Oleksandr Boychuk had 17 assists and three digs.

Mount Saint Vincent was led by 10 kills from Scott Sawyer, Logan Dickover's 30 assists and 11 digs from setter Sean O'Connor.
