New York, NY – The City College women's basketball program suffered its fifth conference loss Friday evening at the Nat Holman Gymnasium, to the Brooklyn College Bulldogs, 79-45.
The Bulldogs were in control the entire first half. Brooklyn outscored CCNY at the half 40-to-15
In the second half, the Bulldogs lead jumped to 36-points with under five minutes remaining in the third quarter. Brooklyn ended the game outscoring the Beavers 79 to 45.
Senior Erika Richards led the team's scoring with 12-points, four rebounds and two steals. Debra Chan posted 11-points and five rebounds. Marissa Olsen added seven points and six rebounds. Beatrice Wallace fished with 10-points off the bench.
Brooklyn out rebounded City College 51-to-33. The Bulldogs bench play a big role, scoring 44-points in the game.
The City College women's basketball teams record now drops to 4-9 over and 1-5 in conference play this season. The team will play Medgar Evers on the road Monday night (Jan. 9) at 6:00pm.
