Brooklyn, NY – The CCNY men's soccer team fell to Hunter College on Saturday afternoon, 3-1. The Beavers lone goal came from freshman
Cristian Tenezaca.
Hunter got its first goal in the 57th minute on a free kick opportunity. Sophomore Arman Zamanzadeh buried the shot to give Hawks a 1-0 lead.
The Hawks extended their lead to 2-0 with another goal just three minutes later. Michael Merlo netted a shot in the 61st minute, with an assist from
Jesus Patino Muniz.
In the 84th minute, Hunter scored their third goal of the contest, when Harrison Krepack netted the goal.
CCNY tallied a goal in the last five minutes of the game, but it was too late for the Beavers to catch up as Hunter took the game, 3-1.
Junior
Marcus De Pompeis had four saves in net.
The Lavender & Black will look to their next game on Monday, Oct. 2 at the United States Coast Guard Academy. Kickoff between the Bears and Beavers scheduled for 5 PM.
