Yonkers, NY - The CCNY women's soccer program opened up the 2017 campaign Friday evening with a comeback 2-1 victory over Sarah Lawrence College.
In the first half, Sarah Lawrence took the lead when Lauren Ashby netted a goal in the 36th minute to hand the Gryphons a 1-0 lead.
The Beavers would get on the board in the second half. An assist from freshmen
Amy Gomez would setup sophomore
Gabrielle Duchaussee to score her first collegiate dawning the Lavender & Black for CCNY.
Later in the half, the Beavers would hit a late goal as sophomore
Daniela Grisales-Agudelo knocked in the game-winner off an assist from sophomore
Tatiana Zuluaga.
CCNY outshout Sarah Lawrence 21-to-5 and had an edge in corner kicks taken, eight to five.

Melany Caceres and Grisales-Agudelo tied for a team-high five shots. Duchaussee, Zuluaga and, senior
Leanna Rodriguez and each had three shots in the contest.
Sophomore
Catherine Langkamp played 90 minutes in goal, firing one scoring chance.
CCNY's next game is at home at Randall Island (Field - 90) on Wednesday (Sept. 6) vs. St. Joseph College - Brooklyn. Kick off between the Beavers and Bears is set for 4:00 pm.
