Old Westbury, NY - The CCNY women's soccer team cruised by the College of Old Westbury Saturday afternoon, 4-0.
Sophomore
Melany Caceres gave the Beavers the lead in the 28
th minute with her third goal of the season.
The Beavers lead doubled when sophomore
Daniela Grisales-Agudelo netted her fourth goal of the season in the 46
th minute. The sophomore chipped in a shot with an assist from junior
Joyanne Voyard.
Grisales-Agudelo grew the Lavender & Blacks' lead by adding her second net-rattler of the game, after scoring on a breakaway ball in the 86
th minute. Less than 30 seconds later, Caceres netted her second goal and final tally of the contest, via another assist from Voyard.
CCNY outshot Old Westbury 17 to seven and had a 10 to three shots on goal edge. The Beavers attempted three corners compared to the Panthers one.
Grisales-Agudelo had team-high nine shots in the game, while Caceres had four and senior
Leanna Rodriguez ended with two. Sophomore
Catherine Langkamp made three saves in net for CCNY.
The Beaver return to action on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 2 PM against York College.
