Newark, NJ – In a non-conference game, the CCNY men's soccer program fell to Rutgers-Newark, 7-0. The Raiders fired 44 shots, scoring six goals in the first half and one in second.
Overall, Junior goalkeeper
Marcus De Pompeis made 11 saves in net for the Lavender & Black.
With the win, Rutgers-Newark remains undefeated at 3-0. CCNY now stands at 0-2.
Next up for the Lavender & Black is a non-conference match on the road against the Purchase College Panthers. The Beavers travel to Purchase, NY on Friday, Sept. 9 for a 4:00 PM kickoff.
