New York, NY – The CCNY men's soccer program dropped a CUNY Athletic Conference contest against Hunter College on Saturday afternoon, 2-1.
Michael Merlo gave Hunter the lead in the 28
th minute on a successful penalty kick.
The Hawks took a 2-0 lead in the 60
th minute when Blaise Enama knocked home a breakaway ball to double Hunter's lead.
In the final minute of regulation,
Nicholas Karkut netted the Beavers lone goal of the game, via an assist from
Salim Kounaweh and
Cristian Tenezaca.
Hunter outshot CCNY in the game 16-9. The Beavers held an advantage in corner kicks, totaling three compared to Hunter's one.
The Beavers next game is against Medgar Evers on Monday, Oct. 15.
