NEW YORK, NY – The CCNY men's volleyball team earned a victory in its final home game of the season on Tuesday evening, taking down Medgar Evers College in straight sets (25-20, 20-6, 25-20).
Prior to the game, head coach
Andrijana Todorovic and the CCNY athletic department honored the program's graduating seniors,
David Cham,
Andres Ramirez, and
Christopher Lee.
Cham had an all-around dynamic effort with eight kills, nine digs, a solo blocks, and two assists. Ramirez recorded a career-high 25 assist to lead all players. Lee started each set and ended the night with four digs.
Sophomore
Carlos Maldonado Madrid had a match-high 11 kills and a .375 hitting percentage to go along with seven digs. Freshman
Abdullah Khalid added six kills while sophomore
Seth Diaz contributed four kills and two solo blocks.
Medgar Evers was led by freshman Emmanuel Jaquez and his eight kills.
The Beavers return to action in non-conference action against NJCU on Thursday, Mar. 29 at 7 PM.
