New York, N.Y. –  In their home opener, the CCNY men's soccer team fell to the College of Staten Island on Wednesday in their first CUNY Athletic Conference match, 9-0.

Sophomore Damian Mendoza tallied both of CCNY's two shots in the match.

Junior Bryant Ibarra made 16 saves in his season debut for the Beaver in 60 minutes of play, while rookie Christopher Moreno stooped one shot in goal.

The Beavers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 22 in a conference match at Baruch College. The game will be held at Randall's Island Field 10, with a 10:00 a.m. start time.
