New York, N.Y. - Behind a career-high offensive performance, senior
Debra Chan led the CCNY women's basketball team to a 73-53 conference victory over John Jay College on Tuesday. The Beavers improve to 12-8 overall and 7-4 in league play.
In 40 minutes of play, Chan netted 28 points in the victory, hitting seven three-pointers in the contest. Chan also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists.
Senior
Ashley Brooks had 10 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and a block for the Beavers. Sophomore
Crystal Blair added seven points and a game-high 15 rebounds. Junior

Emily Arias each scored eight points, all connecting on two three-pointers.
The Beavers led by six after the first quarter, 17-11, but built an 11-point cushion heading into halftime.
In the second half, the Beavers led by as much as 24 in the third period before taking a 22-point lead into the fourth, where they pulled away with a 73-53 victory.
The CCNY women's basketball program heads back home on Friday, Feb. 1, when they host Medgar Evers College on Military Appreciation Night. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
