New York, N.Y. - The City College of New York men's volleyball team picked up a non-conference victory with a three-set win over Yeshiva University at the Nat Holman Gymnasium on Thursday night.
CCNY took the match with set scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 25-20.
The Beavers were led by freshman
Xhulio Myftari and junior
Carlos Maldonado Madrid. Myftari notched 13 kills and 11 aces, while Madrid collected 11 kills and five digs.
Junior
Seth Diaz posted seven kills and one solo block. Sophomore
Hei Chun Chan finished with a match-high 30 assists.
Javier Lazo had seven digs, while
Abdullah Khalid finished with four kills.
The Beavers are back in action against the Maccabees in a rematch on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
