NEW YORK – On Friday night, the City College of New York men's basketball team took on CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) rival Baruch at ARC Arena. Three weeks after defeating the Beavers at Nat Holman Gymnasium, the Bearcats (11-6, 6-2 CUNYAC) completed a season sweep of CCNY (0-17, 0-8 CUNYAC) with a 90-52 victory.
After an
Isaiah Denard (Staten Island, NY) trey gave the Beavers an early 3-2 lead, Baruch went on a 9-2 run to open up an 11-5 advantage. CCNY scored the next four points to get back within two at 11-9, but the Bearcats responded with 15 straight points to increase their cushion to 26-9. Baruch held a 39-15 edge at intermission.
The Bearcats gradually extended the margin over the final 20 minutes. Baruch's lead reached a game-high 42 points at 90-48 before Denard scored the final four points of CCNY's 90-52 defeat.

Yassine Sakhi (New York, NY) finished with 14 points and eight rebounds, while
Romello Rashad (New York, NY) had 10 points to go along with three assists and three steals.
Daniel Piszczatowski (Middle Village, NY) grabbed eight boards for CCNY, which was held to 26.2 percent (17-of-65) shooting. The Beavers were 4-for-18 (22.2 percent) from long range and 14-for-18 (77.8 percent) at the charity stripe.
Adnan Bajrami had a game-high 20 points for the Bearcats. Emil Purisic tallied 16 points and Ryan Graziano contributed 13 points off the bench. Jehmehl Fair added 11 points, while Jack Reese distributed eight assists. Benjamin Boateng, meanwhile, finished with 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. As a team, Baruch shot 58.6 percent (34-of-58) from the field, 64.3 percent (18-of-28) from three-point land, and 66.7 percent (4-of-6) at the free throw line.
CCNY is back in action on Tuesday, when Staten Island (6-11) visits Nat Holman Gymnasium for a 7 p.m. matchup. The Dolphins knocked off the Beavers by an 80-67 count when the sides met on Dec. 3.
