Men’s Soccer Falls in Home Finale to Yeshiva; Beavers Honor Senior Class

New York, NY - The City College of New York men's soccer program completed their final home game of the season, hosting Yeshiva University on Sunday night at Randall's Island. In a friendly non-conference match, the Beavers fell to the Maccabees, 5-0.

Before the match, Head Coach Roberto Ignaccolo and CCNY athletic department honored the men's soccer program's senior class members Andrey Goryuk and Nicholas Karkut.

Freshman Yusef Abdelmegid led the Beaver's offensively with four shots, landing three on goal. 

In goal, the Beavers played five different players. Freshman Adrian Montalvan started in goal, making two saves in 22:43 of play. Sophomore Adonijah Brooks played the next 22:43 in goal, stopping one shot. Freshman Abdou Diaman checked in next for CCNY, recording a game-high five saves. Sophomore  Moustapha Salane closed out the match in between the pipes, tallying one save.

Next, CCNY heads to Madison, New Jersey, for a late-season friendly match against FDU-Florham on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 7:00 p.m.
