New York, NY - The City College of New York women's basketball team fell short on Friday evening, falling on the road to the Hunter College Hawks, 75-31. The Beavers drop to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in CUNY Athletic Conference play.
Sophomore
Monae Laing led the Beavers with her third consecutive double-double, posting 11 points and ten rebounds. Freshman
Leondra Craig finished 10 points, two rebounds, and three steals. Rookie
Fatoumata Nantoume finished with ten points, five rebounds, and two steals. Freshman
Theresa Luna recorded a season-high four assists while
Amelia Ridenour picked up a pair of rebounds.
The Hawks outshot the Beavers 43.7 % to 22.9 % percent in the contest.
The Beavers return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 25, when they travel to downtown New York City to take on Baruch College at 5:00 p.m.
