New York, NY – The City College of New York women's basketball team fell at home on Sunday afternoon to York College, 69-37, in CUNY Athletic Conference action at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.

The Beavers drop to 0-11 overall and 0-7 in league play.

Sophomore Monae Laing had a strong outing, collecting her sixth double-double of the year with 21 points and 16 rebounds. Freshman Fatoumata Nantoume recorded seven points, three rebounds, and four assists. Rookie Leondra Craig tallied five points and three rebounds in 40 minutes of action.

Freshman Theresa Luna finished with two points and five rebounds, while sophomore Shanyah Lander had two points and two rebounds. 

In the contest, the Cardinals held a 47-36 edge on the glass and outshot the Beavers 46.2 % to 25.9 %.

Next, the Beavers round out their home stretch hosting Lehman College on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 5:00 p.m.
