New York, NY - The City College of New York men's soccer team was upended on Wednesday evening in the Quarterfinals of the 2022 CUNY Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, falling to No.4 seeded John Jay College Bloodhounds.
The Bloodhounds found early success, netting a pair of goals in the 12th and 13th minute to go ahead 2-0 over the Beavers. John Jay added another goal in the 31st minute, boosting a 3-0 advantage heading into halftime.
In the second half, CCNY shifted the momentum as freshman Geovany Oblea headed in a shot in the 58th minute for the Beaver's first goal of the afternoon.
The Bloodhounds found the back of the net again in the 86th minute for their fourth goal of the day, securing a 4-1 win over the Beavers.
The Bloodhounds outshot the Beavers in the contest 13-8 in the match. Sophomore Mikhael Torres started for the Beavers in goal, making two stops.
