New York, NY - The City College of New York women's basketball returned to the hardwood following their Holiday, dropping a non-conference contest at home against Rutgers-Camden, 66-39.
Sophomore
Kasia Morrison led the Beavers with a season-high 22 points and five rebounds, knocking down six three-pointers in the contest. Junior
Monae Laing finished with eight points, nine rebounds, and two steals. Freshman
Anna Vikatos ended with seven assists, three rebounds, four blocks, and two points.
Sophomore
Leondra Craig added eight rebounds and four steals, while
Noemy Santana had two points and two rebounds.
The Beavers shot 31.7 percent from the field on Wednesday, while Rutger-Camden made shot just 30.1 field goals. The Scarlet Raptors outrebounded CCNY, 46-37, in the game.
Next, the Beavers travel to Bethlehem, PA, for the 2022 Steel Club Classic, hosted by Moravian University. The Beavers open play by taking on Moravian on Friday, Dec. 30, at 2:00 p.m.
