New York, NY - The City College of New York men's volleyball team swept the York College Cardinals in three sets in CUNYAC action on Saturday afternoon at Nat Holman Gymnasium. The win boosts the Beavers to 7-4 overall and 3-3 in CUNY Athletic Conference play.
The Beavers won 25-7 in the first set and 25-19 in the second set before taking the third set 25-16 to earn the sweep.
Xhulio Myftari led the team with a match-high 12 kills and four digs. Freshman
Tenzin Tsepak added seven kills, while freshman
Utpal Chand finished with five kills and six digs. Freshman
Jeffrey Celis dished out a match-high 24 assists and tallied three aces and three digs.
Rahul Sharma added three kills, three digs, and four aces while
Reng Chen totaled six digs and
Mohamed Elshary had a pair of kills in the win.
Next, the Beavers hosts Yeshiva University at the Nat Holman Gymnasium on Tuesday, Mar. 15, at 7:00 p.m.
