New York, NY - The City College of New York men's soccer team remains unbeaten in CUNY Athletic Conference play after playing to a draw against Baruch College on Saturday, 1-1.
The tie moves the Beavers to 4-5-4 on the season and 4-0-2 in conference play.
After a stalemate in the first half, the Beavers fell behind in the 62nd minute. Baruch's Mohamed Nasr put the Bearcats on the board.
The Beavers applied pressure across their next possession, leading senior Peter Gjini to beat the defense with a shot from the right side of the box in the 77th minute off a helper from sophomore Diego Julca. The goal was Gjini's third of the season.
Senior Carlos Garcia made five saves in goal.
Next, the Beavers close out CUNY Athletic Conference play on Wednesday, October 23, on the road at Hunter College.
