Purchase, NY - The City College of New York men's basketball program opened the 2024-25 on Friday evening, defeating Manhattanville University, 88-57, on the road.

Junior forward Ricardo Dixon led the Beavers, posting a double-double of a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds, along with two blocks in 22 minutes of action. Senior forward Edward Beqiri finished with 20 points, shooting 10-for-14 from the field, and tallied five rebounds, three assists, and a block. Senior Chris Stone had 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists. 

Junior Michael Bowman finished with eight points and three assists. Senior Elijah Patterson added eight points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.

The Beavers outshot the Valiants in the game 59.1% to 35.5%. CCNY also won the rebounding battle, 42-33

Next, the Beavers will travel to take on Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, November 23, at 1:00 p.m.
