New York, NY - The City College of New York men's soccer team rallied late to tie against Pratt Institute on Tuesday evening, 2-2.
Senior
Yusuf Abdelmegid scored his first goal of the season in the 32nd minute, handing the Beavers an early 1-0 lead.
In the second half, Pratt evened the match in the 49th minute of as Omri Hadad netted a goal for the Cannoneers. In the 57th minute, Hadad handed Pratt the lead, scoring his second goal of the evening.
In the 88th minute, CCNY found the equalizer as senior
Peter Gjini found the back on the net off a corner kick from junior
Aliou Ndiaye.
CCNY bested Pratt in shots (13-8), shots on goal (7-5), and corner kicks (10-2). Abdelmegid led the Beavers with three shots, four on goal, followed by sophomore
Kiernan Sullivan with three shots and two on goal. Goalkeeper
Carlos Garcia logged all 90 minutes of play, recording three saves.
