Newark, NJ - The City College of New York women's soccer program dropped a non-conference road match on Wednesday evening, falling to Rutger-Newark, 6-1.

With the loss, the Beavers fall to 1-4 on the season.

Freshman Husna Khan scored the lone goal for the Beavers in the second half (47:52), chipping in a shot through the low right side of the goal. Khan finished the contest with three shots, including two on-goals. Senior MacKenzie Moreno tallied two shots on goal in the match. Senior Laila Issa started in goal, making 10 saves.

Next, the Beavers will take on DeSales University on the road at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28.
