Riverdale, NY – The City College of New York men's soccer team fell 4–0 on Tuesday night to the University of Mount Saint Vincent in non-conference action.
With the result, the Beavers move to 0–2 to start the season.
The Dolphins struck first in the 10th minute when Javier Trujillo finished a pass from Jacob Greiffenberger to give the hosts the early advantage. After halftime, MSV extended its lead as Manuel Vidal scored twice in the span of 10 minutes (48', 58') to make it 3–0. Luka Geleveski capped the scoring in the 81st minute off an assist from William Sornin.
CCNY worked to generate offense throughout the contest, totaling eight shots with three on target. Mattia Gaspari recorded two shots on goal, while Yanis Hamdi Pacha and David Pemberton added chances of their own.
In goal, Carlos Garcia turned in a strong performance despite the scoreline, making 11 saves while playing the full 90 minutes.
