Name: Makita Ellis
Athletic Accomplishments at CCNY: My freshmen year, I won CUNYAC athlete of the week honor for the throws and women's indoor track rookie of the year. I received most improved athlete for 2012-2013 indoor track. I also broke the freshmen record in weight throw. Sophomore year, I was an all star for women's indoor track in weight throw. I came in third place overall which helped the women's team win the championship. During outdoor season, I broke the school's hammer throw record which I currently hold. I received 2012-2013, women's most improved athlete for outdoor track.

What are the three things you like about competing at CCNY: I like the atmosphere of City College, the diversity that I'm exposed to as well as the variety of mixed cultures. When it comes to competing at City College, I admire the coaching staff on the team as well as the athletic staff.
