CCNY Beavers Women’s Basketball Head Coach Jamie Angeli announced the hiring of Assistant Coach Richard Peay in the Fall of 2015.
Peay comes to CCNY from Stevenson High School in the Bronx, where he has been the head girls basketball coach for the past 13 seasons. While at Stevenson, Peay maintained a competitive program while establishing a graduation rate of 98%. In addition to coaching at Stevenson High School, Peay was the Bronx Director of the Nike Metro Swoosh Summer League from 1995 to 2005. Peay returns to his alma mater, receiving his Education Degree from CCNY in 1999. In addition to coaching at CCNY, Peay will remain at PS 47 Elementary School in the Bronx as an Assistant Principal.

Richard is a successful coach and educator and is committed to helping us create a championship culture, built from a foundation of discipline and strong character. His familiarity with our program is an added bonus, having coached two former players in Karissa Core and Kerniesha Williams.”
From 1987 to 1991, Peay was the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at the Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO., winning three straight Mid-Western League Championships.
