Rynae Michelle Rasley begins her second year as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for the City College of New York Beavers and as Office Manager in the athletic department.

Rasley graduated from Iowa City West High School in 2004 where she lettered in women’s basketball. Upon graduation, Rasley played college basketball at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Arizona from 2005-2008 under Cassandra Yancy. Rasley led CGCC to back-to-back regional 1, division II championships as the Coyotes ranked seventh and 13th, respectively, in the nation throughout her JUCO career.

Rasley transferred to City College from VCU and served as caption for both the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons under head coach Kevin Clifford. She received the coach’s award both seasons after averaging 10 points and six assists per game. Rasley was also a member of the Beaver cross country and outdoor track and field teams and was named a CUNYAC all-star in 2011 before graduating Magma Cum Laude in 2011.

Rasley was a volunteer assistant coach under head coach and Athletic Director Jackee Meadow throughout the 2010-11 season before being named the assistant coach. Rasley’s duties as assistant coach are working with point guards and post position development while also assisting with recruitment and scouting.

Daughter to Michael and Lauren Rasley, Rynae has two younger sisters and one older brother. Rachelle Rasley played collegiate basketball at Lander University in South Carolina.
