The City College of Ney York Athletics

Diessongo set the new event record in the 100 meter dash at 10.73 as the Beavers competed in the Fourth Annual Ramapo College Roadrunner Invitational and finished with 23 City University of New York Athletic Conference Championship qualifiers and two ECAC Championship qualifiers.

Diessongo’s first-place finish in the 100m dash highlighted three top-10 finishes in the event and 17 CUNYAC qualifiers on the men’s side. Diessongo’s mark was the fifth best time in all of Division III this season and was also an ECAC Championship qualifier.

The two-day event featured 21-plus teams, consisting of Rutgers-Newark, NYU, Cheyney, , Manhattan, Montclair State, Temple and Lehman College to name a few. The men’s side finished 10^th with 28 points while the women’s squad tied for 17^th place with five points. Manhattan College – a Division I program – finished atop the leaderboards on the men’s side with 160.5 points while host Ramapo College won the first place ribbon on the women’s end (110.5 points).

The 4x100m relay team of Diessongo, Garnet Vanterpool, Dehazya and Alexander finished fifth at 43:80.
