Despite the tennis team losing two matches last week, Alexander Jonsson excelled, earning himself CUNYAC Rookie of the Week. In the two CUNYAC matches, the native of Sweden won both his singles matches in straight sets, beating Johnny Rolando of Brooklyn 6-2, 7-5, followed by topping York's Ayman Busat, 6-4, 6-2. In doubles with partner Vinicio Haro, they fell to Brooklyn 9-7, but beat York's top duo by reversing the 9-7 score. On the season, Jonsson is 6-1, 5-0 in Conference action.
