The City College of New York men's soccer team was edged 2-1 by College of Staten Island on Saturday at Staten Island, New York.

City (3-6, 1-2 CUNYAC) struck first when Abdul Rashid Abdulai stole the ball and got it on goal. The Beavers had a 1-0 advantage at the 25'. CSI (4-6-1, 3-0-1 CUNYAC) struck back and scored at the 30'. Philip Lefkowitz scored off of a header with an assist from Dardan Nika. Both teams fought hard for a lead, but the scored remained 1-1 at the half.

With both teams looking for a conference victory, the battle between the two teams was intense. The Dolphins took the lead, and ultimate game-winning goal at the 64'. Mohammed Ndao scored off a corner kick on the rebound deflection.

Maxwell Berkow put up seven saves. Abdulai, Luis Castillo and Augustine Amissah all had shots on goal during the match.

The men will face Berkley College (NY) on Monday, October 5 at 4:00 p.m. The match will take place at Randall's Island Field #91.
