The City College of New York women's basketball team dominated the College of New Rochelle 74-51 on Tuesday evening in Nat Holman Gymnasium.
The College of New Rochelle started the game off with the first four points, but CCNY quickly took control. The Beavers started to take control at the five minute mark in the first quarter. City went on a 17-0 run to take a 17-4 lead. The first quarter ended with City leading 19-10.
In the second quarter, both teams battled back-and-forth for control of the ball. The Beavers were able to stay ahead and hold the advantage while forcing the Blue Angels to commit turnovers. In the first half, City caused 12 turnovers and scored 17 points off of those turnovers. CCNY went into the locker room with a 41-23 advantage.
The Blue Angels came into the third quarter looking for a way to stop the Beavers. CNR started the second half going on a 6-2 run, but that wasn't enough to catch up to CCNY. City outscored College of New Rochelle 19-16 in the third quarter.
The fourth quarter was similar to the second quarter as both teams battled back-and-forth. City continued to dominate and took the game 74-51.
Tiara Brown notched her second double-double of the season off 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Erika Richards all scored double-digit points in the victory. City caused 23 turnovers and scored 26 points off of those turnovers.
