City College of New York men's soccer team fell 1-0 with a late goal by Bard College at Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.
Bard started off the match taking advantage of the ball. However, City's defense put up big stops and held Bard to a scoreless first half. Going inyto the half, the score remained tied 0-0.
The Raptors continued to dominate the ball in the second half. The Beavers defense continued to put a fight and stop the Raptors. Just when it seemed like CCNY would force overtime, Bard had other plans. At the 87' Bard forward, Nick Shenberger, was able to get the sole goal of the match. Bard took the match by a narrow 1-0 victory.
CCNY only got one shot off during the entire match, while Bard was able to get off 29 shots.
Maxwell Berkow put up 12 saves during the match.
The team will travel to face conference opponent College of Staten Island on Saturday, October 3. The match is set for 2 p.m.
